We are the newest radio service in Fargo-Moorhead and as time goes by will be adding more and more features and info to our site. Right now we offer 2 internet only streams for you to listen to, our broadband stream is 128kb AAC+ and is our best sounding stream. We also offer a mono 24kb stream for listeners in offices where only narrowband streams are allowed. Just click on LISTEN LIVE and select your link.
So far we have one station on line, it's called 89.1 Ken's FM, it's an adult modern rock format that has FSN news at the top of the hour, plus a mix of 4 decades of new wave/alternative/modern rock music. The mix is a blend of about 40% new modern rock with alot of 80's 90's and 2000's to fill it out. We hand picked all the tracks and add new modern rock on a weekly basis to keep everything fresh. NO one-size-fits-all corporate researched format here! Isn't it great to listen to a station that plays your favorite tracks from the last few decades and STILL keeps you up to date with new arstists and songs?
Plus there is the local music connection.
For over a decade now we have been bringing in local musicians and bands to play live in our studios and then play the recordings made during the performance throughout the day sprinkled into our playlist. The performances can be heard live on a program called Modern Rock Worldwide, it airs on Saturday nights starting at midnight and goes until 4AM sunday morning. The program has listeners in all parts of the world including the UK, Ireland,The Netherlands, and Australia as well as the US tuning in every weekend to hear whats new and exciting. Modern Rock Worldwide is simulcasted on 89.1 Ken's FM.
The latest news is we finally got our construction permit from the FCC for a full 100,000 watts and are in the process of raising money to build our new tower. Keep checking back as we will continue to post updates and progress reports on our construction. You can view our latest video Here
